# Printer (प्रिंटर)

##### A **Printer** is an **Output Device**. It is used to print the information stored in a computer on paper.

##### The printed paper is called a **Hard Copy**.

##### For example, if you prepare a resume in MS Word and print it on paper, the printer converts the soft copy into a hard copy.

##### **प्रिंटर (Printer)** एक **आउटपुट डिवाइस (Output Device)** है।

##### इसका उपयोग कंप्यूटर में मौजूद जानकारी को **कागज़ पर छापने (Print)** के लिए किया जाता है।

##### कंप्यूटर में दिखाई देने वाली फ़ाइल को **Soft Copy (सॉफ्ट कॉपी)** कहते हैं और जब वही फ़ाइल कागज़ पर छप जाती है, तो उसे **Hard Copy (हार्ड कॉपी)** कहते हैं।

##### **आसान उदाहरण:-** 

##### मान लीजिए आपने MS Word में एक आवेदन पत्र (Application) बनाया।

- कंप्यूटर में दिखाई दे रहा आवेदन = **Soft Copy**
- वही आवेदन Printer से कागज़ पर निकल गया = **Hard Copy**

👉 इसलिए कहा जाता है—

**Printer converts Soft Copy into Hard Copy.**
