# Basics of Hardware and Software

##### A **computer system** is made up of two main components:

#####  **1. Hardware** – The physical parts of a computer that can be seen and touched.

#####  **2. Software** – The set of programs and instructions that tell the hardware what to do.

##### 👉 **Both hardware and software work together.** A computer cannot function properly without either of them.
